Exclusion of "artificial" debt from the register of creditors ' claims

The court of first instance recovered 2.5 billion rubles from companies that are members of Forum Invest Group and have outstanding obligations to our Client - a large Russian bank - under surety agreements. The lawyers of the Bureau prepared an appeal, which stated that our Client was not involved as a third party and provided arguments indicating the "artificial" nature of this debt, created for the sole purpose of harming the Bank as a creditor of the defendants declared bankrupt.

As a result of a properly structured legal position lawyers of the Bureau, the court of appeal reversed the decision of the court of first instance and terminated the proceedings in the case.
